For the fourth year in a row, Dr. Anna Le, founder and CEO of Annandale OB-GYN, is leading a team of providers to El Salvador, to to roll up their sleeves and bring life-changing care to women who might otherwise go without it.

They’ll be administering pneumonia and HPV vaccinations, and performing procedures such as removing polyps (as well as fibroids and other growths that can cause pain, infertility, or serious health risks). Every procedure, every shot given, is part of their holistic approach — treating not just symptoms, but the whole person, and addressing the physical, emotional, and long-term well-being of each patient.

Beyond the operating room, the team will share knowledge with local healthcare providers and offer education to patients about preventive screenings, reproductive health, and overall wellness — planting seeds for long-term, sustainable change.

For Dr. Le and her team, this annual trip isn’t just about medicine. It’s about connection — listening to women’s stories, understanding their lives, and showing them that even from thousands of miles away, someone cares deeply about their health, their future, and their whole self.
