An OB specializes in medical care through pregnancy, childbirth, and the weeks after — monitoring your health and your baby's growth, guiding you to delivery, and staying with you through postpartum recovery. Physicians and midwives work as one team so your care never skips a beat.
What’s included
Care through every trimester
First trimester (weeks 1–12): we confirm your pregnancy, start monthly visits, and offer optional genetic screening around 12 weeks. Second trimester (weeks 13–26): monthly visits continue, with an anatomy ultrasound around week 20 and gestational-diabetes screening. Third trimester (week 27 on): visits move to every two weeks at 30 weeks and weekly from 36 weeks, with Group B strep testing, growth checks, and delivery planning.
What to expect
Expect monthly visits early on, every two weeks from around 30 weeks, and weekly from 36 weeks. Each visit checks your weight, blood pressure, and your baby's heartbeat and growth — with round-the-clock coverage once labor begins.
