Your visit schedule

Weeks 4–28: about once a month. Weeks 29–36: every two weeks. After 36 weeks: weekly until delivery.

What to expect

You'll be seen about once a month through 28 weeks, every two weeks through 36 weeks, then weekly until delivery. Each routine visit checks your weight, blood pressure, and your baby's heartbeat, with testing at the right stages — and 24/7 coverage once labor starts.

Common questions
Are my medications safe during pregnancy?

Bring a list of everything you take to your first visit — your provider will review each one and adjust anything that isn't safe.

Can I keep working and exercising?

Usually, yes. Most people continue their normal routine with a few adjustments; we'll give guidance based on your pregnancy.

How much weight gain is normal?

It depends on your starting point. Your provider will set a healthy range for you and track it at each visit.

Which prenatal vitamin should I take?

A prenatal with folic acid is recommended; we'll suggest a specific option and any additional supplements you need.

What will my delivery plan look like?

We'll talk through your birth preferences, the hospital, and what to expect as you approach your due date.
