Biography
Catherine Lancaster, DNP, FNP-BC, is a doctoral-prepared, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Anna Health in May 2026. She provides compassionate, patient-centered care with clinical interests in family medicine, women’s health, adolescent health, weight management, sports physicals, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle changes.
Catherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from Elon University in 2010 before pursuing nursing. She later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marymount University in 2013.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Catherine worked as a bedside nurse with MedStar Health in Washington, D.C. for six years. She also served as the school nurse at the Kirov Academy of Ballet, where she cared for young dancers and further developed her interest in adolescent health, injury prevention, and sports medicine.
Catherine earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from George Mason University in 2021. Her doctoral work focused on implementing COVID-19 protocols and improving health communication among school nurses in Virginia.
Catherine believes in providing care that is compassionate, open-minded, and never dismissive of a patient’s concerns. She enjoys helping patients feel heard, supported, and confident in their next steps.
In her free time, Catherine enjoys gardening, crocheting, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family. She is also a registered yoga teacher.
