Family Medicine

Medical weight management. Care beyond the first visit.

Start with a clinical evaluation, discuss treatment options, and plan ongoing support through Anna Health Family Medicine.

Clinical visits and medication costs are separate

Visit benefits depend on your plan. Ask about medication, shipping, and any separate services.

Start at Find care, choose how to schedule, and request a consultation. A request is not a confirmed appointment; wait for confirmation from the scheduling team. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

How care works

  1. Open Find care, choose how to schedule, and request a consultation. Wait for confirmation from the scheduling team before attending.
  2. Attend a clinical evaluation to discuss your history, goals, and questions.
  3. Review appropriate care options, benefits and risks, and costs with your clinician.
  4. If medication is prescribed through the Strive program, coordinate payment and pharmacy fulfillment with the team.
  5. Continue clinical follow-up according to your individual care plan.

What your care may include

  • Clinical evaluation of your health history, current medicines, and goals
  • Discussion of treatment options, including whether GLP-1 medication is appropriate
  • A discussion of follow-up planning and available nutrition support

GLP-1 treatment and Strive Pharmacy

Your clinician can discuss whether GLP-1 treatment is appropriate. If a compounded medication is prescribed through this program, Strive Pharmacy handles fulfillment. Anna Health provides your clinical evaluation and follow-up. Compounded medications are not FDA approved. The FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed. Your clinician determines whether a compounded medication is appropriate for your individual medical needs.

Preparing for your consultation

  • Bring your medicine and supplement list and relevant health records.
  • Note your goals, previous approaches, and questions about treatment and follow-up.
  • Ask which nutrition support and appointment formats are available and whether there are separate charges.

Your visit and next steps

Your clinician discusses suitable options, their benefits and risks, and the next step in your care. Medication may not be appropriate, and a consultation does not guarantee a prescription. If treatment is prescribed, the team can explain costs, payment, pharmacy coordination, and follow-up before you proceed.

Benefits and costs

Ask our team about benefits and costs.

Clinical visits and medication are billed separately. Visit benefits and out-of-pocket costs depend on your plan and the care provided. Ask our team about medication charges, shipping, labs, and any separately billed nutrition or follow-up services before proceeding.

Common questions

Will I receive a GLP-1 prescription?

A consultation does not guarantee a prescription. Your clinician evaluates your individual medical needs, discusses benefits and risks, and may recommend medication or another approach.

Does visit insurance also cover medication?

Clinical visits and medication are billed separately. Visit benefits and out-of-pocket costs depend on your plan and the care provided. Ask our team about medication charges, shipping, labs, and any separately billed nutrition or follow-up services before proceeding. Strive Pharmacy does not bill insurance.

What is a compounded medication?

A compounding pharmacy prepares medication based on an individual prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA approved. The FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed. Your clinician determines whether a compounded medication is appropriate for your individual medical needs.

Which clinicians, offices, and visit formats are available?

Call our team to confirm participating clinicians, office locations, appointment formats, and current availability for weight-management consultations. General Family Medicine availability does not establish GLP-1 participation.

What follow-up and nutrition support can I expect?

Your clinician helps plan follow-up around your needs. Ask our team which nutrition support is available, how follow-up is arranged, and whether either involves a separate charge.

What if medication is not right for me?

Your clinician can discuss other approaches and the next step in your care. You do not need to commit to medication to ask about a consultation.
