About Jean-Gilles

Dr. Tchabo brings 50 years of medical experience to Anna Health. He began his career as a pediatrician, working in his first group practice's ICU, but found that pediatrics didn't give him what he needed to communicate with and care for his youngest patients. He returned to training and became board-certified in OB-GYN, going on to practice as an OB-GYN for the next five decades.

From 1979 to 2012, Dr. Tchabo was on faculty at Georgetown University as a professor, where he practiced, taught, saw patients, trained residents, and conducted research. In 2012, he opened his own OB-GYN practice, which he ran until joining Anna Health as part of the practice merger. He's now transitioning into family medicine, a new direction after five decades in OB-GYN, but one he's settling into.

His approach to patient care is simple: do no harm.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Tchabo is the father of five and grandfather of eight. In his free time, he enjoys babysitting his grandchildren and traveling. He recently returned from a trip to Europe with his family and has also traveled to Jamaica.
