How often do I need a well-woman visit?
Once a year for most women. Your provider may space out Pap smears based on your age and history, but the annual check-in stays.
Do I need a Pap smear every year?
Not always. Depending on your age and past results, Pap smears are often every three to five years — we'll tell you when yours is due.
Can I get birth control at this visit?
Yes. We review your options and can start most methods, including placing an IUD, the same day.
